TWO MOUNT TYPES

There are two mounting options for the shade: inside mount and outside mount. For an inside mount, the window depth should be at least 2 inches. If you choose an inside mount, please provide the exact window size, and we will deduct 0.25 inches from the width to ensure a proper fit.

For an outside mount, the shade size typically needs to be larger than the window size for proper fitting. Therefore, you will need to provide the desired shade size. It's important to note that the width measurement is for the total shade width, and the actual material/fabric size will be 1.2 inches smaller than the total shade width.

All the mounting hardware is included in the package and is suitable for both inside and outside mounts.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: 1. Measure the inside frame width at three locations - top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements and use that number as the width when ordering. 2. Measure the height at 3 locations - left, middle, and right side. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements and use that number as the height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: 1. Measure the outside frame width and add 6-10 inches to determine the outside mount width. 2. Measure the outside frame height and add 5-10 inches to determine the outside mount height.

The recommended overlap is to ensure appropriate coverage and avoid any light gaps.

INTERNAL MOUNT: For an inside the window frame mount, provide the exact measurement of the opening to the 1/16th inch, and we will deduct 1/4 inch to ensure a perfect fit. The shade must be slightly smaller than the opening. You need at least 2 inches of depth at the top of the window for an inside mount.

EXTERNAL MOUNT: We will not make any adjustments, so please provide the exact shade size you want when filling out the customization form. Outside mounts are typically installed above the window opening and should be 3 to 10 inches wider than the window width and 5 to 10 inches longer than the window height for better coverage. All hardware is included and takes up 1.2 inches of space, so the actual shade will be 1.2 inches smaller than the total shade width.
