MOUNT TYPES: To ensure a proper fit inside the window frame, inside mounted bamboo roman shades will have an approximately 3/8" deduction. Inside mounted bamboo shades require a minimum frame depth of 2 inches for secure installation. If your window frame depth is less than 2 inches, please select an outside mount. Outside mounted bamboo shades should be ordered with the exact width of the area you wish to cover. Outside mounts are often used when there is insufficient frame depth for inside mounting. Our shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounting.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1. Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom, and record the smallest of the 3 measurements. Use this number as your inside width when ordering. Step 2. Measure the height on the left, middle, and right side, and record the smallest of the 3 measurements. Use this number as your inside height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1. Measure the outside frame width, adding 3-6 inches to determine the outside mount width. Step 2. Measure the outside frame length, adding 4-6 inches to determine the outside mount length. The overlap is recommended to allow appropriate coverage and avoid any light gaps.
